Caledon Comprehensive Development Plan
Client: Caledon Regeneration Ltd.
This project involved the survey and assessment
of a stone built estate village laid out in the early 19th
century and the development of a range of policies for its
protection and conservation. Central to the plan was the the
object of securing funding under a range of available programmes
including the Townscape Heritage Initiative. Core projects
included the restoration of the courthouse and a terrace of
mill workers cottages, as well as the remains of a beam engine
which formerly powered a seven storey mill. The project received
funding from a range of programmes including INTERREG, CRISP
and the Peace and Reconciliation Fund.
